Located in Bend, Oregon, 360 Bond is the largest office building in the area and has a prominent architectural presence.
The design team integrated deep window recesses and shading devices so that the building could be oriented west toward the beautiful views of the Deschutes River and Cascade Mountains — all while reducing solar glare and heat gain. Extensive landscape areas and a rooftop eco-garden use selected native plantings that tie the building to its high desert location. The lobby features custom and locally-fabricated light fixture pendants hanging in the two-story atrium.
The ODS Companies’ offices, located on the second floor, include open and private offices, conference rooms and a reception area. The open office space and clear interior glazing enhance the surrounding grand views.
Sustainable design features include: water efficient landscaping and fixtures; construction waste recycling; high indoor air quality standards; minimized light pollution; reclaimed hardwood flooring; FSC-certified wood; low-VOC, water-based paints; high-performance glazing and envelope; and an ecoroof.
360 Bond was completed in January 2009 and received a LEED Gold rating.
