Moda Center Renovations

Portland, Oregon

The Portland Trail Blazers hired GBD to help them with a $16 million renovation to the Moda Center. GBD has designed upgrades and new concepts representing the largest changes since the building’s opening in 1995.

Phase I included the complete renovation of 21 of the arena’s 66 private suites, including the build out of 12 new “Studio Suites”, which offer a more intimate vantage point. Other upgrades include changes to the Club Level and the Rose Room. A private membership will now be required to enjoy the Rose Room, catering to a more business-friendly atmosphere. Additionally, we completed a new, glass-enclosed bar (The Pines) on the 300 Level of the Moda Center. Featuring views to downtown Portland, the space opens toward the 300 Level Concourse and offers something new for all fans to enjoy.

Other Moda Center improvements included:

  • Remodel to the Owner suite
  • New and revamped concession areas, including locally-focused food and beverage options
  • Remodel of the suite-level concierge
  • New retail store on the 100 Level
  • Suite-level concourse update
